Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No 154 of June 10th and to inform you that H.M. the King will not be advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to Ord No 3 of 1907 of the Legislature of Hong Kong, entitled "An Ordinance to authorise the appropriation of a supplementary sum of four hundred and seventy-seven thousand eight hundred and forty-nine dollars and fifty-three cents to defray the charges of the year 1906."
I should however be glad to receive a more detailed explanation of the excess reasons for the large increase in the vote for Miscellaneous services.
